Pope Francis delivered an intense message to the muslim community when he began his papal mission to Egypt warning them against violence and terror in the terms of religion. 15,000 worshipers gathered at the stadium where Pope Francis conveyed his message, welcoming him with flags and balloons. The Pope’s visit came 3 weeks after the Islamic State killed at least 45 people at two Egyptian churches on Palm Sunday. Pope Francis’ goal was to lay down a challenge for both Christians and Muslims in Egypt to be committed and fanatic about their faith, but in a way that leads to religious engagement and compassion rather than violence. His visit was in aim to build relationships with Muslim leaders and request religious freedom.
