This morning a U.S. intelligence agency launched a spy satellite into orbit from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The exact information on where in orbit the satellite NROL-76 is being delivered, what type of surveillance it is performing,  and the size of it are all still up in the air. The NRO or National Reconnaissance Office is known to  monitor and survey potential threats on the United States. It does this by tracking terrorists and monitoring the development of nuclear weapons, as well as providing early warning of potential missile strikes. SpaceX is also normally broadcast live online, but the cameras were shut off soon after the satellite was launched. Another success from this launch was that the rocket was safely returned to Earth.
