Cat Talk

Mitra Norowzi

Mitra Norowzi, Editor-in-Chief

Hello, my name is Mitra and I am this year’s Cat Talk Editor-in-Chief. This is my third year on staff and keeping the school updated on important happenings is a huge priority for me. I like to focus on bringing global or political issues to my peers. My regular feature is Critic’s Corner, wherein I put my judgemental personality to use.  Other than writing, I enjoy painting, obsessing over TV shows, and baking. I am passionate about both drinking and spilling the tea. Stay woke y’all.

This past summer, Bree Newsome was arrested for removing the Confederate flag from the South Carolina Statehouse. Harmful symbols such as this have no business being present in public spaces, even though a blanket ban in all situations brings up uncertain questions about government censorship.
