On the spookiest night of the year, your favorite celebrities are no stranger to dressing up. Halloween 2023 was no exception! Many celebs went the scary route, while others leaned more into a comedic look. Let’s reflect back on some of the best costumes from the night!
First on our list of celebs who nailed their spooky looks is Tarvis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian. They dressed up as Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz from the iconic 1988 Tim Burton classic, “Beetlejuice”! Kardashian looked dashing in her bright red gown and recognizable updo. Barker looked incredibly ghostly with his burgundy suit and mossy hair. The couple both posted on their instagram profiles with the caption, “I’m the ghost with the most, babe.” Raina Freedman, a senior here at Millbrook, commented on the couple’s look, and was not a fan. She told Cat Talk, “The look was fine, the thing that threw me off was the amount of plastic surgery Kourtney has. Her fake face ruined the look in my eyes.”
Next down the list is Halsey. The Grammy winning singer-songwriter never fails to disappoint on Halloween. And, with the recent release of her new makeup line, About Face, she really dove into the effects of her costume. She created a beautiful and haunting mermaid look. Her glowing green skin and pearl details paired with her flowing, translucent white dress, was just absolutely stunning! Mia Schiavone, a junior here at Millbrook absolutely fell in love with this look, saying, “She ate that up. She looks like an ethereal goddess.”
Moving away from the spooky looks, we have Kelsea Ballerini! The country singer-songwriter paraded around New York City as Disco Barbie from the hit summer movie. Dressed from head to toe in bright pink, everything from her long blonde hair, to her cowboy hat, and the sparkles on her pants, Ballerini definitely caught our eye with this look!
Last, but most certainly not least on our list, Taylor Lautner and his wife, Taylor Lautner! Any fan of SNL may recognize their costume from the skit with Pete Davidson and Timothee Chalamet. The Lautners posted a TikTok video using the song from the SNL skit that Davidson and Chalamet sang. The pair attended Heidi Klum’s Halloween party in wigs and comfy getups. Taylor Lautner (male) wore a pink, pixie cut wig, white tank top, and white sweats. He also had the fake tattoos that Chalamet wore on SNL. Lautner’s wife (also Taylor) wore a bright blue wig and a matching set of construction-cone-orange hoodie and sweatpants, looking identical to Davidson in the skit. The two each completed their looks with a gold chain.
Freedman also commented on the couple’s costume, saying, “Taylor Lautner’s was the BOMB with his wife too? It was probably the best couple costume this year.”
It’s safe to say Halloween 2023 was a complete success! We can’t wait to see what these celebrities will do next year!
