At approximately 9:30am, during 2nd period, Principal Dr. Saunders announced on the intercom that Millbrook was to go on a code yellow lockdown, due to a threat within the nearby community. Officers were trying to apprehend a suspect connected to an open investigation. Law enforcement reportedly began pursuing a driver who fled from officers and Millbrook students reported seeing multiple police vehicles drive into the neighborhood across from the bus loop. 

  The school was on lockdown for about 30-45 minutes and a nearby daycare was also placed on lockdown at the same time. The police quickly made an arrest in the neighborhood cul-de-sac on Grove Point Court and once the suspect was in police custody, the lockdowns were lifted 

 Warrants were previously issued for one person, who was taken into custody. The charges the person could be facing are currently unknown to the public.
