Almost everyone likes to play video games with friends. Members of the Video Game Club get to play video games on campus right after school! The Video Game Club meets in room 236 every Tuesday from 2:40 to 3:40. After setting up consoles and beginning to play straight away, members game away until 3:30. In the last 10 minutes, there is discussion on the game that will be played next time. Games such as Super Smash Brothers, Mortal Kombat, Mario Kart, Persona, and Castle Crushers have been played in this after school activity. Not only does the Video Game Club play games on consoles, they also play board games and collectible card games. Some members just enjoy hanging out and watching the games being played by other members.

The adviser of the Video Game Club is Mr. Genesky. The president of the club, junior Chase Jamison explains, “I normally bring in the games and consoles. I am also the one to set them up most of the time.” He also facilitates meetings with Mr. Genesky. Sophomore and member of the Video Game Club, Cameron Swan, says, “My favorite console would have to be the 3DS only because it is mobile and it has a very large game selection.” Many students do not know what the video game club is; however it sure is something to look into for those that do not.

This after school activity takes gaming to the next level by allowing members to play with friends right after school every Tuesday. This allows for a relaxing and enjoyable environment after school once a week to do what members love the most and to allow them to share their experiences with fellow Wildcats. Having this after school activity as an option after school is great for students to have. There are many clubs to choose from that may strike the interest of students, and the Video Game Club is definitely one to strike that interest!
