Catching deals on Cyber Monday
November 27, 2016
Tomorrow, the majority of online stores will have their annual deals for their top products and new releases. Following one of the biggest shopping days of the year, Cyber Monday has made a name for itself by becoming one of the biggest online shopping days of the year.
Many stores keep their Black Friday deals through Monday. Having sales on top of sales draws many customers in. Online stores have also been sending out emails to their subscribers to let the know of special deals and offers just for them. Junior Kyrese Washington said, “Cyber Monday is the day of no rest. I shop online until 12 am.” Stores like Forever 21, Zumiez and Wet Seal are holding either special codes or hosting a countdown to the end of their sale. This puts the positive pressure on customers to hurry up and use the deals to their advantage.
Cyber Monday started when Ellen Davis, the Senior Vice President of National Retail Federation created the term “Cyber Monday”, which made its debut on November 28, 2005. Since Black Friday tends to be marketed for appliances and electronics, Cyber Monday has been known for its fashion retail purposes. Cyber Monday quickly became an international term used by designers all over the world. Now, a majority of stores tend to participate in this post Black Friday sale day to gain new customers and woo the returning ones.
In other words, Cyber Monday has its perks. Without the crazy door busting customers, you can shop right at home on your smartphone, laptop, or desktop. There are also less ads going around, which also gives you the benefit of having the exclusive “VIP” emails codes from stores you shop at. The website Cybermonday.com lists almost any store you can think of and the sales they are having. It also categorizes products to make it easier for the shopper view which stores have certain deals for the upcoming day. Cyber Monday is great for shopping for the new season, so I advise everyone to participate.
