Aaron Hernandez commits suicide
April 19, 2017
Former New England Patriot’s tight end, Aaron Hernandez, was found dead in his jail cell just after 3 a.m. this morning. Hernandez hung himself with a bedsheet which he tied to the window of his cell. The Department of Corrections announced that there were no suspicions of suicide. Hernandez did not even leave a note. Just a few days earlier he was seen blowing kisses to his daughter during his acquittal. Nobody from his family or legal team expected the tragic event.
Best known for his tenure at Florida University with quarterback Tim Tebow, Hernandez was a star on the field. Hampered by various off the field issues during college, he fell to the fourth round of the NFL draft. The fall of his draft stock became viable in 2012. Hernandez was tried for suspicion of the murder of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado. A year later, he was convicted for the shooting of Odin Lloyd. Hernandez was a very good football player, but his actions away from football led to a very untimely death.
