After nine years of being locked up for armed robbery, former NFL star O.J. Simpson is now a free man as of early Sunday morning. He left just after midnight on Sunday to prevent paparazzi and media attention. His head was held down, and he left quickly and quietly, according to a spokeswoman from the Nevada Department of Corrections. She also told him to not come back, to which he replied that he did not intend to. Inventory of what he took with him included some paperwork, a hot plate, clothing, and shower shoes. Simpson was picked up by an unknown person after his release.

While Simpson is released from behind bars, he is still on parole. He cannot consume large amounts of alcohol, do any unmedicated drugs, or be around any other ex-convicts. At 70 years old, Simpson does not intend to break any parole rules, according to a good friend of his, Tom Scotto. What he plans to do is focus on friends and family. For now he is living in Las Vegas, but he later plans to move to Florida.
