Everyone agrees October is the best month ever, right? The leaves change colors, sweaters are finally an appropriate thing to wear in public, and there is pumpkin spice everything! The only struggle, other than quarter one report cards, is trying to figure out what to wear Halloween night, whether you are trick or treating or going to a party. Suddenly it is the afternoon of October 31, and you have nothing to wear.

“It can be really difficult to find a Halloween costume because for one, you don’t want to have the same one as someone else,” junior Kirsten James expresses.

Luckily, you can make a trip to Walmart and find many Halloween costumes-yes, Walmart. Some costumes at regular costume stores can be very expensive, so Walmart offers an economical option.

Junior Mason Burris agrees by saying, “It’s hard to find something good and cheap. I could get at least five cookout trays for one costume!”

Here are three cheap last minute costumes you can find at the oddest corporation in America, Walmart.

With this first costume, you will let people know you came to have fun before even talking to them by going as an actual party animal. Locate multiple animal print sweaters in Walmart, all for under ten dollars! Next you will find balloons scattered about most stores. You may think that these balloons are just for decoration, but they are actually for sale. After you are dressed in your costume, you will look like an animal. And with the balloons, showcasing that you are ready to party, you officially become a party animal.

This next costume is for all of the gingers in the world, but if you do not possess the red hair and freckles gene, you can just buy red hair spray for three dollars. This costume is by far the easiest-and not to mention the cheapest. All it involves is obtaining two loaves of bread and carrying them all night. Now you are officially a gingerbread man and the “punniest” person of the night.

This last costume is for all of my coffee and donut lovers of the world, AKA everyone. All this costume involves is a basketball and a box of donuts. This costume is also very easy because all that you have to do is carry the two objects around. Although if you want to go the extra mile, you could wear athletic clothing or a basketball uniform. You are now dressed as the company Dunkin Donuts, and Krispy Kreme is very disappointed in you.

Finding a Halloween costume can be extremely difficult, so difficult that some of us put it off until the last minute, but now you have three options to impress your friends and any fellow trick-or-treaters. These unique costumes are for all of my party lovers, gingers, and donut friends.

These costumes are a fool proof way of showing that you have a great sense of humor. While your friends may make fun of the amount of corniness gone into your costume, at least you are not dressed as a cat!
