Showcasing the current wives on each series, each installment in the Real Housewives franchise brings something different to the table. Even if you have never watched before, it is never too late to start binging the series from the beginning or just the current season, as each series in their entirety can be found on Hulu and Peacock.

The increasingly popular Real Housewives franchise is a guilty pleasure for many Wildcats. There are currently seven series airing on Bravo: Orange County, New York City, Atlanta, New Jersey, Beverly Hills, Potomac, and Dallas. An eighth installment, Salt Lake City, premiers tonight at 9 PM. Each show features a different cast of characters pulled from the most influential women in each city and captures many social functions, trips, and drama from each friend group. Senior Samantha Wilson said, “It is so hard for me to pick a favorite city because I love them all. All of the drama is just so entertaining!” While most conflicts resolve after each season, there is almost always trouble brewing in each city, and current seasons have proven that not even a global pandemic can stop this tea.

The first of the eight series, RHOC, has recently begun its fifteenth season and is facing much controversy centered around housewife Kelly Dodd. Dodd is under fire for wearing a “Drunk Wives Matter” hat to a bridal shower featured in an upcoming episode of the show, as well as expressing controversial opinions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the series is contracted to run until at least 2025, many fans are petitioning to not only fire Dodd, but cancel the series altogether. Down the road in Beverly Hills, the RHOBH cast is going through many changes. Following a harrowing tenth season, it is no surprise that Denise Richards has departed the series after being blackballed by her fellow housewives over an alleged affair with former cast member, Brandy Glanville. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Teddi Mellencamp Arryovave was fired from the series after three seasons. There has been much speculation in regards to who will fill the coveted seats on the most sought-after series in the franchise. It appears that Crystal Kung Minkoff will be joining the series as a full-time housewife, and Kathy Hilton (sister of veteran cast members Kim and Kyle Richards) will also join the series as a friend of the housewives.

Up north in New York City, the RHONY cast just began filming their thirteenth season. Following the departures of Tinsley Mortimer and Dorinda Medley, it was recently announced that Eboni Williams will replace the two and make history as the first black woman to join the series. Meanwhile, in New Jersey, the RHONJ cast is currently filming season eleven with the same wives from the past two seasons. However, this does not mean everyone is on good terms. Housewife Jackie Goldscneider recently revealed that she has opted out of filming certain scenes due to a feud with fellow housewife, Teresa Giudice.

Down south in Potomac, the season five reunion special is set to begin filming soon, and many fans anxiously await the infamous sit down following a drama-filled season. One of the biggest questions left in viewers’ minds is if Monique Samuels will be returning for another season, after nearly quitting mid-way through season five citing it as “really difficult.” Over in Atlanta, following the controversial departure of mainstay housewife, Nene Leakes, it has been evident by posts from returning housewives that Drew Sidora and LaToya Ali will be joining the series and bringing the drama. Meanwhile, RHOD does not appear to be currently working on new episodes but will be back with a fifth season soon. Last but not least, a new adventure begins tonight with the premiere of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. This new series is sure to bring just as much drama and excitement as all of the series before.
