New Information on The Russia-Ukraine Crisis Arises

Tension rises as Russian troops spend weeks at Ukraine’s borders. Even though Putin previously denied wanting to attack, Early this morning in Kyiv, Ukraine, Russia launched an attack that led with gunfire and missiles raining down. This attack and Russia’s continuous assault on Ukraine leads Biden to announce additional sanctions that the U.S. and Western allies will provide.
Just hours after Russia’s attack Biden states, “Putin chose this war. And now he and his country will bear the consequences”. A few hours after the attack, Biden says, the U.S. would be establishing sanctions on four of Russia’s largest banks. The U.S. and Western allies are also enforcing new export controls that will block over half of Russia’s high-tech imports. In the upcoming days, NATO will convene a summit that would bring the leaders of allied nations to map out their next course of action. Biden insists that the U.S. is “not going to Europe to fight in Ukraine, ” instead they are going there to protect and encourage NATO allies. Biden maintains his stance on the U.S. forces not participating in the Russian crisis in Ukraine. According to Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service, concerning the recent missile fire in Ukraine, Russian forces have begun to break through the Ukraine border into the Kyiv region and in Oleksiy Arestovich. With all-new information coming to light, Biden’s administration, along with Western leaders, has warned that if the crisis continues to escalate against Russia’s neighbor it will trigger more aggressive sanctions.
