The Millbrook Baseball team is a determined group of boys who are always positive, supportive, and uplifting. As junior Graeson Matheson describes them, he says, “You couldn’t ask for a better group of guys.” Millbrook Wildcat Baseball has a Junior Varsity (JV) and Varsity squad. The Varsity team consists of 18 players while the Junior Varsity team consists of 16 players. As of March 15th, the Varsity team has a current record of 3-2 while the JV team is undefeated with a record of 5-0.

As the teams are getting the ball rolling with their season, they are excited and hopeful for the rest of their season.   Sophomore Aidan Hoelzle, who is a first-year fielder on the JV baseball team says, “My season is going great and I look forward to developing friendships with the team and having a good time.” He enjoys baseball because it is a good pastime after school and says, “I like how I get to play the sport I love with my team.” Aidan is excited for the tournament because he believes the JV team is a hard-working group of guys that has the potential to make it to the playoffs. Junior Graeson Matheson, on the Varsity team, has been playing baseball since freshman year. He says, “The team’s season has been going pretty well so far, our hitting continues to improve after each game and I feel if we get some guys healthy we are going to be a force to be reckoned with.” He is currently injured, but is excited for when he is able to be back on the field playing ball with friends. He looks forward to the rest of the season saying, “We have to take each game one at a time, but our goal is to reach the state playoffs and tear it up from there.” The JV team plays next on Tuesday, March 22nd at 4 PM and Varsity the same day at 7 PM. Best of luck to these outstanding Cats as they continue their season. With their skills and confidence, there is no doubt they will take home a Championship win in May!
