North Hills Shooting Sends Man to Hospital

  On Sunday night officers responded to a shooting at North Hills shopping center around 7:20 p.m. One man was shot and there was no threat to the public according to the police statement.

  The man, whose name was not released, was taken to the hospital. However, his injuries were non-life threatening. The investigation indicates that the shooting was an isolated incident and that the individuals knew each other. One person was detained for questioning but so far no arrests have been made.

  North Hills released the following statement: “The area was cleared around 10:30 p.m. and everything is secure. The Kane Security team is actively assisting RPD’s [Raleigh Police Department] investigation and will remain in communication with our tenants. As always, the security of our guests, residents and tenants is our top priority. It will remain so.”

  This investigation is still ongoing.
