Vivo – More than your Average Italian Joint

Old school Italian restaurants are always looking to impress their guests, while making the classics with the best and freshest ingredients. Vivo is a successful Italian restaurant owned by the restaurant mogul’s Gianni and Randi Cinelli. The Cinelli’s have owned restaurants in N.C. for over 20 years and have owned restaurants for over 30. It’s a family-run joint with husband, wife and children tending to the needs of their guests who they know by first name. Here you can find everything from the basics(like lasagna and chicken parm) to handmade pizza in a true brick oven and chicken, veal and seafood along with handmade pastas and chef driven specialties such as mascarpone risotto, braciole, and much more!

Vivo tries hard to be organic and healthy, but with reasonable prices. If you decide to visit Vivo, starting with a delicious appetizer is a good idea and there are many choices including fried calamari, burrata with olive oil, garlic bread and more. As for entrees, you could try the popular lasagna made of angus beef, mozzarella, ricotta cheese, and home made tomato sauce.. Or you could try Gianni’s personal favorite menu item: the eggplant parmesan, which is composed of breaded and fried eggplant, marinera, mozzarella, and a side of spaghetti. Vivo’s menu also includes soups, salads, pastas, pizza, and much more.

Vivo includes a welcoming atmosphere, warm environment, modern, yet homey, decor. The employees make it their priority to make you feel right at home. “The atmosphere was very homey,” said Millbrook senior Sam Miller.

Vivo is located at 7400 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615. Visit anytime from 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. See http://vivoraleigh.com/ for Vivo’s full menu.
