Saint Patricks day is coming up, but how do you plan on celebrating? St. Patricks Day is a celebration of Irish culture and holds some pretty crazy traditions. It is mandatory that you wear green on St. Patrick’s Day in order to avoid being pinched. It is also common to eat foods like corned beef and cabbage.

Lafayette Village has a “Paddy on the Green” festival on March 18th from noon to 4pm. This Festival offers an entertaining, fun-filled peek into Irish culture. You can enjoy live music, food and shopping for the entire family. They will also have fairy hair by Fairy Leslie in the Lafayette courtyard. Events that celebrate Irish culture will be featured as well, like learning to write with a quill pen, brass rubbings, and character photo ops.

If you are looking for any Irish restaurants to get into the Saint Patrick’s day spirit, Piper’s Tavern is a great place to go. Piper’s Tavern has vibrant green decorations, with authentic Irish meals to enjoy with family or friends.  Each day of March is celebrated by Piper’s, having a different special daily. Piper’s will also include a special menu on St. Patrick’s day, featuring cheaper drafts for the adults, and several live music sessions.
