On Sunday, April 7, country music star Morgan Wallen was arrested in Nashville for allegedly throwing a chair from the rooftop of a bar. Wallen was arrested on three felony charges for reckless endangerment and one for disorderly conduct.
According to CNN Entertainment, “Several Metro Nashville police officers were standing outside of Chief’s Bar on Broadway just before 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night when a chair fell from above and landed just feet from where they were standing.”
Surveillance camera footage from the bar showed Wallen lunging and throwing an object over the roof. According to witnesses who watched the incident as it happened, they said they saw him grab and throw the chair, even laughing afterward.
Wallen’s attorney released a statement saying, “At 10:53 pm Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct,” and, “He is cooperating fully with authorities.”
Many bars have taken to social media in attempts to make fun of the situation by posting videos of them padlocking their chairs to the table when they hear Morgan Wallen is coming into town.
