Watching movies from your childhood is a common way to reminisce on the days when you were young. If you are like me, you probably love watching old Disney and Pixar movies. This month, there are many new movies that are perfect to make you feel like a kid again.

The first film that is a must-see is Wonder Park. This film follows an imaginative and creative young girl named June. One day she finds a magical amusement park named Wonderland hidden in the woods. This park is full of fun rides and games, as well as colorful talking animals. When June discovers the park is in danger, she realizes she is the only one who can save her new friends. This highly anticipated film was produced by Paramount Pictures, who has brought you countless iconic films during your childhood such as Kung Fu Panda and Shrek. This animated film features the voice talents of Jennifer Garner, Ken Jeong, Kevin Chamberlin, and debuts Brianna Denski as June. This motion picture is rated PG, so make sure you see it in theatres now to watch June bring the wonder back to Wonder Park.

Next up is a new movie that will allow you to soar to new heights. Disney’s Dumbo is coming back to the big screen in a fresh, live-action remake on March 29. This beloved story follows circus owner, Max Medici, as he adopts an orphan baby elephant with abnormally large ears named Dumbo. When circus star Holt discovers Dumbo can fly, he sets out to make Dumbo the biggest circus star ever. This fantasy film was directed by Tim Burton and stars Eva Green and Colin Farrell. This is the first of many Disney remakes to be released this year, and critics believe that its success will be even greater than the original 1941 musical. This movie will definitely make you feel like a child again, and is perfect to see with the whole family. Make sure to catch baby Dumbo fly into theatres later this month.

Movies targeted specifically to younger audiences may include many key elements such as fantasy components, lifelong lessons, and fun storylines that other films may not include. Junior Sarah Wallace commented, “I love watching kid movies because I grew up watching films made from Disney with my family. I still watch them now because it is fun to see the new and different variations of films that are produced today!” If you are a kid at heart or just enjoy fun and imaginative movies, make sure you see Wonder Park and Dumbo this month.
