Nicki Minaj announces the release of her new album ‘Pink Friday 2’

Nicki Minaj has announced she is releasing her new album “Pink Friday 2” on Friday, December 8. The album was originally set to come out on November 17 but was pushed back due to the fact that her friend and longtime collaborator Lil Wayne was releasing an album on the same day. Minaj later announced the album would come out on her birthday, December 8
She announced the album on her website, also releasing the single “Last Time I Saw You.” She left a message for her fans saying, “In the meantime, please enjoy the song as much as I have enjoyed creating it and just know that ‘Pink Friday 2’ is going to be the best album that’s been released in years!!!” She did not leave her fans hanging on November 17th though, when she announced that she would be going on tour for this album. This tour even includes a show in Charlotte, NC.
At the VMA’s this September, Minaj was a host and performer and sang an unreleased song that fans can only assume will be on the new album. Hyping up the upcoming album, Minaj said, “It’s beyond anything I could have imagined” and “You will never ever recover.”
Junior Hannah Brown said, “I have been listening to Nicki since ‘Starships,’ but as I got older I began listening to her other songs and now I am obsessed.” She also says that, “I can’t wait for the new songs and blasting them in my car with my friends but my all-time favorite Nicki song is ‘Only’ from ‘The Pinkprint’ album. I know every word and love singing with my best friend.”
“Pink Friday 2” will be Minaj’s 5th studio album. Minaj has been in the industry since 2009 and has blown up ever since for her rapping and singing skills. Some of her most famous songs are “Super Bass” and “Starships” where she does some rapping and singing while in her other popular song “Pills N Potions” you get to hear her more raw and emotional singing voice.
With the announcement of the new album and tour, Minaj also released multiple variations of records and limited edition signed cd’s. She also released regular cd’s, two shirts, and a 2024 “Pink Friday 2” calendar.
Sophomore Ella Moore spoke on the album saying, “I have been a Barb since I was eight and my favorite project is ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.’ I am most excited about ‘Pink Friday 2’ because I love Nicki Minaj’s music, her artistry has been impactful in my life and I’m excited to hear something new!”
