As the class of 2024 is getting closer to graduating from high school many students are looking forward to enjoying their last summer before entering college in the fall. Many students decide to stay in North Carolina during that time, but that does not mean their fun should be any more limited.
Here is a list of fun activities in North Carolina that you can explore with friends and family this summer:
Outdoor concerts: Many outdoor concerts are being held in Raleigh this summer. The most popular location for these is the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek. It is an open-air venue that seats at least 20,000 people. Musicians such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers (June 26), Glass Animals (Aug. 16), Dan + Shay (Aug. 17), and Cage The Elephant (Aug. 3) will be featured there this summer. You can visit their website for concert tickets and more information on the venue. Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek
Biltmore: The Biltmore is a one-of-a-kind estate located in Asheville, North Carolina. It is the largest privately owned home in the United States. Tours of the house are available via ticket purchase, but there are many other features that you can explore during your stay such as exploring the gardens which are free to the public. Also located on the estate is a small village that features a winery and several small shops and restaurants. It is the perfect place to visit if you want an adventurous getaway. The Biltmore
Outer Banks: The Outer Banks is home to some of the best beaches on the East Coast. Its boardwalks are full of fun activities, shops, and restaurants. While with friends or family, you can spend hours on the beach working on that perfect tan, or you can explore the dunes in hopes of spotting the wild horses that wander the area. Either way, whatever you choose to do, you are guaranteed to have a fun time.
