Former television star and comedian, Bill Cosby, has been found guilty on all three charges of indecent assault. The jury came to a decision Thursday, April 26 regarding his case. Cosby faces up to ten years in prison on each charge and is expected to serve the sentences concurrently. The charges stemmed from an incident at his Philadelphia home in 2004, where he was accused of drugging and violating Andrea Constand. He will remain out of jail on bail until his sentencing date.

Former star of the sitcom, The Cosby Show where he gained the title of “America’s Dad,” Bill Cosby is one of the first celebrities to be convicted of crimes since the #MeToo movement started. Over 50 women have come out and accused Cosby of drugging and violating them, leading to an investigation, and eventually, a conviction. Activists are hoping this is the start of a culture shift in America and lead to more celebrity criminals, regardless of their status in society, getting justice served to them as well.
