The N.C. State Wolfpack completed their Cinderella run through the ACC Tournament with an 8-point win over the top-seeded UNC Tarheels.
After winning five games in five days and entering the tournament as the 10th seed, the Wolfpack became the highest-seeded team to ever win. This is their first championship in over 35 years, the last win coming in 1987.
Before the tournament, many fans wanted Head Coach Kevin Keatts fired after multiple lackluster seasons. With the tournament win, Keatts earned a 100k bonus, a 400k raise, and a two-year extension.
N.C. State has earned the 11 seed in the NCAA tournament and will face 6-seed Texas-Tech in the first round.
