“Maniacy: That moment when all hope is lost. Maniacal and Lunacy, running ramped.” There are eight simple steps needed to The ultimate guide achieve complete maniacy. Millbrook Maniacs are students that attend most to all athletic events, specifically football and basketball, to show their support and have a good time. 1.  #PackTheDen

One who seeks to be a Maniac with clout is expected not only attend all games but also bring along friends to each and every game. The more Maniacs in the stands, the better. Show your school spirit and support of everyone involved in making Friday night lights such a special tradition week after week, year after year.

  1. Participate in the theme

To be a true Maniac, one must always show unity by going all out for the themes that have been created for each game. Senior Maniac leader Josiah Schainblatt said, “The best way to participate in the themes is to try and dress as crazy as possible. Who cares if some people think you look dumb because that’s what’s fun about it.”

  1. Storm the field after a win

This is mandatory! If caught trying to sneak away after a win, one will be shunned. Just kidding, of course, Maniacs are fully inclusive. However, it is very important to congratulate the football players after a win and ensure that they feel appreciated. It is also a good chance for Maniacs, cheerleaders, football players, parents, and coaches. to mingle with one another.

  1. Tailgate

Who does not like food before football games? For home games, show up at the tennis courts around 5:30 to eat and chat with your fellow Maniacs. Tailgating also ensures you a good spot at the game.

  1. Cheer!

No, cheering is not only done by the cheerleaders. The Maniacs have their very own sacred cheers recited every game. Do not worry newcomers; you will get the hang of it. Senior Maniac leader Chandler Ward said, “It’s important to actually yell and do the cheers. The leaders are trying to get people involved. Yell as loud as you can and be ridiculous.”

  1. Be respectful to the band, especially during the halftime show

All jokes aside, the Marching Band and Color Guard work very hard to put together an amazing halftime show for us; they deserve a respectful audience. While they are performing, keep the noise level at an appropriate volume, and upon the completion of their routine, applaud them! Aside from the halftime show, support the band through the quarters as well. They add to the excitement and festivities of the game by playing upbeat songs that get the Maniacs and cheerleaders hype and dancing.

  1. Formation

Real Maniacs know their place on the bleachers. It should come as no surprise that there is formation to follow. Seniors get the front, behind them is juniors, followed by sophomores, and the freshman all the way at the top.

  1. Go to Cookout after home games

Tailgating is not only before games, the real fun happens after nine. Head to Cookout, after storming the field of course, and park in one of the neighboring parking lots. Using the walk-up window, order your Cookout tray with a fancy shake and end the night with your fellow Maniacs.

By following these rules, one can easily accomplish being a Maniac with clout. Anyone can be a Maniac, as senior Josiah Schainblatt said, “Being a Maniac means being crazy loud at games, always showing out, and having school pride.”
