Releasing energy from within, your aura can show people who you really are. Making sure you stay positive and healthy can allow you to be the happiest you can be.

An aura is a human energy field that is held to flow from a living being, only visible to certain people with psychic powers. Aura cleansing is a form of spiritual cleansing to help repair a damaged aura. Sometimes known as aura healing, this cleansing can help brighten and heal an aura. When born, everyone has a clear, bright, and glowing aura which attracts positive energies and repels negative energies. The aura acts as a magnet that pulls energies and vibrational debris from around us. Over time, auras can become damaged and tainted with dark shadows and clouds that attract those unwanted energies. Having a blemished aura can leave a person feeling stressed, unhappy, and tired. It can also lead to even more negative energy and negative relationships.

You can actually read your own aura, but it requires some mindful concentration. One way is to have your aura photographed with a special camera. Although it is very rare and uncommon to find places that do this type of photography, you can do some DIY ways of figuring out what your aura is saying. You can rub your hands for 45 seconds while sitting in a chair, closing your eyes. By doing this, you can feel the warmth and energy created from your hands, and when you open your eyes, you can sometimes see a trace of your aura on the outline of your hands. Meditation is also another way of checking up on your aura. Hold your hand away from your body and separate all of your fingers. Meditate on your hand and fingers for 45 seconds. You might be able to see your aura; an aura looks like glowing, thin outline usually containing a color.

Auras can be cleansed in many ways to prevent us from negative encounters. The most commonly known way to cleanse an aura is to burn herbs such as sage, lavender, frankincense and Palo Santo. This is also known as smudging, which comes from Native American rituals. The smoke will cleanse your energy as it penetrates your energy field. Water also has great healing and cleansing properties. You can physically wash yourself or just visualize the water pouring over your aura. Epsom salt baths also can give your aura a really good cleanout. Epsom salt has wonderful healing properties for the body. Once you have cleansed your aura, you have to protect it from negative energy. One way to protect yourself is to make sure you are around people with more positive energy than negative. These types of people can offset negativity in your aura.

“Your aura is a reflection of your inner self which looms around you like a magnetic field. Cleansing your aura makes others more attracted to you and makes you more positive and grounded within yourself,” said junior Faith Hargrove. If you have cleansed your aura and are still feeling low, make sure to focus on the bright side of things. Do not wallow in your sadness. Instead fill the sadness with something fun that you love to do and fulfills you.
