This year’s Super Bowl made history, as the two youngest head coaches faced each other, Sean McVay age 36 and Zac Taylor 38. It has been 23 years since the Bengals have appeared in the Super Bowl, while for the Rams it is the second time in three years. The game started out with the Rams taking the lead, then in the third quarter Tee Higgins (Bengals wide receiver #85) caught a touchdown pass from Joe Burrow (Bengals quarterback #9), giving  the Bengals the lead. During the fourth quarter the Rams took the lead back by scoring a touchdown from Cooper Kupp (Rams wide receiver #10), now the Rams lead 23-23. With limited time left the Bengals try to put together one last drive, but get caught in fourth and nine, where Aaron Donald (Rams defensive lineman #90) makes a huge play by sacking Burrows. This sealed the game; the Los Angeles Rams are Super Bowl LVI Champions. Coach Sean McVay now goes down in history as the youngest coach in the NFL to win a Super Bowl.

Matt Stafford, the quarterback and leader of this Rams team, paid his dues to get to be on top, playing for the Detroit Lions for 12 years, and not having much success. Also, facing struggles within his family when his wife in 2019 was diagnosed with a brain tumor where she had a 50% chance of survival. Thankfully, through the support of her husband, and determination she beat cancer and is healthier than ever. This win means more to the Rams and Stafford, and is what may have given them an extra spark the Bengals could not defeat.
