The Department of Justice is recommending that Stephen Bannon, who served as a top advisor for former President Trump, serve a six-month jail sentence and pay $200,000 in fines for actions that display contempt of Congress.

Bannon was charged with two accounts of contempt of congress, the first account was ignoring a subpoena. The second account was the refusal to show documents of records to investigate the events of January 6th.

Bannon was open with sharing information about his family, his personal background, health but he refused to reveal his financial records. However, he insisted that he will pay any fines including the fine of each count of conviction.

Stephen Bannon found guilty by jury of two counts of contempt of congress.
