Ainsley Roberts is 1 of 16 seniors voted to be a 2026 Outstanding Senior. Roberts is known for her infectious enthusiasm, Millbrook pride, endless care for others, and powerful faith! Roberts’ involvement at Millbrook is impossible to go unnoticed due to her involvement in numerous Millbrook programs and clubs. Ainsley Roberts’ strong Christian faith is heavily reflected in her involvement in Younglife. Roberts had the opportunity to student-lead at Younglife, making her an inspiring mentor for underclassmen, but especially Freshmen. Roberts cherishes the friends and community that Younglife has provided her, further establishing faith as her key motivator.
Roberts’ leadership doesn’t stop at Younglife; her Millbrook pride is undeniable at both Millbrook Football and Basketball games, where she truly represents what a Millbrook Wildcat is through her actions as a Captain for the varsity cheer team. Roberts isn’t just outstanding at Millbrook; her care for others is seen all over! Roberts’ involvement with Addis Jamari, a non-profit organization in Raleigh, allowed her the opportunity to create an impact on the lives of many, even in Ethiopia. Roberts’ passion is helping others, spurring her involvement in the Elite Wildcats Program and the Early Childhood courses, allowing her the opportunity to intern at a daycare. Roberts’ internship jump-started her love for childcare, but most importantly, her decision to pursue a career in education.
Robert’s plans to attend Auburn this fall, with the intention of studying Secondary Education. Auburn has been her dream school since she visited at a young age. Each time she tours since, her love for the school has continued to grow. Even with a dream school in mind, Roberts mentioned that throughout high school, “College wasn’t my motivator. I just try to do my best and do what I love, always.”
Roberts continued to share that she knew Auburn was her place because its tight community reflected the family she’d built at Millbrook through athletics, clubs, and the IB program. Choosing Secondary Education wasn’t a hard decision for Ainsley Roberts to make. Her favorite subject in school was always math, and her experience coaching cheerleading made her realize her love for helping underclassmen.
Due to Roberts’ extensive involvement in schools, she has many amazing Millbrook memories. However, her favorites include when Millbrook Football won in the second round of the playoffs her junior year. The cheer team and football team rode the same bus home to Charlotte, allowing for lots of fun cheering and chanting after their victory. Another aspect of Millbrook that Roberts has always enjoyed is the annual Winterfest performances and her experience as an IB student.
Roberts credits her family and friends for supporting her throughout high school, saying that their love acted as a catalyst for success (plus, her weekly study sessions at Panera and Starbucks). Roberts says that she had the best high school experience because she decided to make it uniquely hers, not fearing embarrassment, getting involved in the things she loves, and making genuine connections. In the future, Roberts hopes to make college an equally enjoyable experience. She looks forward to continuing to find herself, growing meaningful friendships, further developing her faith as a Younglife Leader, and being an Auburn Tiger!
